The exhaust-gas treatment and dosing system, Denoxtronic, is being used in a larger number of diesel vehicles than ever before. The system works by injecting an aqueous urea solution known as Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF/AdBlue) into the exhaust stream and, in combination with the SCR catalytic converter, converts harmful nitrogen oxides (NOx) into water and nitrogen.
